📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of engineers delivering safe, utility-scale engineering designs across wind projects from project award through closeout. • Coach, train, and mentor engineering staff; set clear objectives and establish metrics. • Oversee engineering deliverables, project priorities, schedules, and budgets across the portfolio. • Oversee the full engineering lifecycle from pre-construction estimating and bid-phase design through project award, design delivery, construction support, and closeout. • Deliver economical designs satisfying power plant design requirements. • Collaborate with company departments, vendors, and outside engineering firms on safety, cost, and efficiency improvements. • Maintain engineering design practices compliant with Owner, Company, state, and federal safety regulations. • Provide guidance to Lead Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Engineer I/II staff. • Support technical review and vetting of equipment, products, and materials; coordinate approvals with Supply Chain, Estimating, and Construction. • Drive design consistency across projects, Owners, and the department. • Coordinate with engineering leadership to determine and communicate resource needs and balance workloads across projects and business units.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited college, or relevant equivalent industry experience, required. • Professional Engineering (PE) license, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent credential is required and must be obtained within one year of hire if not already held. • Seven or more years of progressive engineering experience in a related energy or construction industry, including demonstrated leadership experience. • Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR). • Position is estimated to require travel up to 50% of time, subject to fluctuations based on project and business needs. • Strong understanding of utility-scale wind project engineering and the engineering lifecycle from project award through closeout. • Ability to balance the three core priorities of People, Projects, and Processes while keeping teams focused on successful project execution. • Experience setting team objectives and using meaningful metrics to drive accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
