📋 Description

• Develop innovative automation solutions for utility-scale renewable energy projects • Independently design, develop, and maintain engineering tools, custom software, scripts, data pipelines, and AI-enabled workflows • Collaborate with civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical, and electrical studies teams to identify automation opportunities • Solve complex technical challenges and simplify engineering workflows • Lead automation initiatives from concept through deployment • Integrate new technologies, improve data accuracy, reduce manual processes, and enhance engineering quality • Automate engineering workflows supporting project design, estimating, and project execution • Develop and maintain tools and applications end-to-end using development standards, Git, and code-review practices • Translate engineering, estimating, and proposal needs into technical requirements and solution designs • Interface with data pipelines, APIs, databases, and system integrations moving project, design, quantity, and cost data • Implement AI and machine learning capabilities, including LLM workflows, document review, and data extraction

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience is required, including two (2) years of code-writing experience • Must have a valid Driver’s License • Minimal travel required • Experience in mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior engineers or developers is preferred • Experience automating engineering, design, or estimating workflows is preferred • Previous engineering or construction-related experience in a related industry is preferred; renewables-focused experience is a plus • Experience developing engineering automation tools, custom software, scripts, and data-driven solutions • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, C#, or similar languages • Experience integrating engineering software and automating technical workflows • Must hold valid, independent work authorization; Blattner is unable to sponsor H-1B visas or permanent residency
