📋 Description

• Schedule appointments for CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and special procedures • Schedule interpreter services • Enter appointments into the Radiology Information System and hospital computer system • Schedule in-patients and outpatients according to guidelines to reduce wait times • Copy and distribute Radiology request forms • Maintain records and files • Prepare reports as needed • Receive faxes and phone calls from medical doctors' offices and inpatient units • Return scheduled appointments to referring office practices • Check payers' pre-authorization requirements • Ensure appropriate offices obtain required pre-authorizations • Enter pre-authorization numbers into the system

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of a high school education • 1-2 years of related work experience • Ability to read and write in English • Interpersonal skills necessary to obtain and exchange factual information • Ability to maintain working relationships with physicians and staff • Ability to pay close attention to details • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
