📋 Description

• Receive calls from providers, patients, clinics, and hospitals to schedule procedure tests • Schedule and arrange procedures and tests for all patient types • Arrange providers, rooms, equipment, and other resources • Provide prep, pre-procedure, and post-procedure instructions • Coordinate the clinical sequencing of multiple tests, facilities, and service areas • Review orders to ensure proper order criteria are met • Create new account numbers and record diagnoses, indications, history, physician information, referral numbers, and pre-certification numbers • Document patient conditions using clinical screening questions • Identify correct medical record numbers and maintain accurate Master Person Index information • Notify security when an incarcerated patient is scheduled • Order office supplies • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• H.S. Diploma - Required • 1 Year experience in Admissions or ancillary service department - Required • Typing skills minimum of 35 wpm - Required • Must be proficient in typing and computer skills • Able to operate office equipment including computer, copier, fax, calculator, and telephone/headset • Excellent telephone and communication skills • Ability to decipher complex scheduling issues and read prep instructions • Ability to comprehend and remember routing and test sequencing • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to work independently and make scheduling decisions affecting patient procedures and care • Ability to communicate clearly by telephone and in group settings • Ability to see and read computer screens and medical literature continually • Travel to off-site locations may be required - Required • Clinical experience preferred • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state licensure preferred upon hire
