📋 Description

• Design and manage cloud-based systems on behalf of BMC • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify appropriate solutions and implement system modifications • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based data solutions, including movement of data between on-premises and cloud environments • Optimize data storage and ensure data security and compliance • Build data pipelines and scalable data processing systems in cloud environments • Design, construct, and test data lakes, data warehouses, data lake houses, and databases • Design and implement data pipelines using cloud-native tools and services • Develop ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation • Write and optimize SQL and Python queries for data retrieval and analysis • Optimize data workflows to improve performance and efficiency • Collaborate with leadership, analysts, Research, and cross-functional teams to define data requirements and reporting needs • Implement data solutions aligned with business and technical requirements • Apply data governance, access controls, security, and compliance standards • Provide system troubleshooting and support

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field • Minimum of Five (5) or more years of experience in data engineering or related roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Preferred Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • Preferred Epic Clarity and Caboodle Data Models, Microsoft Fabric, or Amazon S3 and Redshift • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) • Knowledge of data warehousing and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) • Understanding of data modeling and database design principles • Ability to design and document end-to-end processes, including steps, dependencies, systems of record, and roles of involved parties • Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products • Strong attention to detail, with excellent proofreading and editing skills • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java
