• Develop and maintain relationships with academic and community research thought leaders, appropriate HCPs, and access stakeholders within the assigned geography • Answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR-related questions through 1:1, group presentation, and remote interactions • Use scientific resources and presentations to provide medically accurate, compliant information • Present information to thought leaders and healthcare providers and respond to questions • Assess the medical landscape and understand stakeholder needs and expertise • Maintain current knowledge of treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, HEOR, and scientific activities • Understand the competitive landscape and evolving healthcare models • Identify opportunities for disease-state initiatives, collaborative research, and investigator-sponsored research • Attend medical congresses and local/regional meetings • Collect and communicate meaningful medical insights to medical and commercial organizations • Develop geography-specific Field Medical and Thought Leader Interaction plans • Contribute to institution/account plans and scientifically meaningful medical programs/projects • Collaborate with cross-matrix field teams within the assigned geography • Support medical/scientific and product-specific training and provide scientific updates to internal stakeholders • Provide scientific support at promotional meetings and evaluate speakers • Participate in assigned congress activities • Support interventional and non-interventional research studies, including identifying and assessing potential study sites • Provide recommendations on study and site feasibility to clinical development teams • Support HCPs in investigator-sponsored research submission, execution, and follow-up • Ensure pharmacovigilance procedures are understood and applied and alert BMS personnel to adverse events • Support CRO-sponsored studies as agreed with home office medical and Global Development Operations
• MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, or NP with experience in a specific Disease Area or with a broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience • Disease area knowledge and an understanding of scientific publications • Knowledge of a scientific or clinical area, competitive landscape, and patient treatment trends • Knowledge of clinical trial design and process • Knowledge of the national healthcare and access environment • Knowledge of HEOR core concepts • Excellent English language skills, spoken and written • A minimum of 2 years working in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment • Prior MSL experience • Ability to work independently and act as a team player • Ability to translate scientific or clinical data into an understandable and valuable form • Good communication and presentation skills for presenting scientific and/or clinical data to research or healthcare professionals • Ability to develop peer-to-peer relationships with TLs, scientists, and other healthcare professionals • Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments • Demonstration of the BMS Values • Ability to drive a company-provided car • Must be able to drive a BMS-provided vehicle between locations, often great distances apart • High level of ethics and integrity • Responsible and safe driving history • Must live in the territory managed or within 50 miles of the territory borders • Travel required
