• Manage all aspects of fundraising from private foundations, government grants, corporations, and other grant-awarding bodies • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with key institutional funders • Oversee grant submissions, reporting, and pre/post-award activities • Research funding opportunities and develop applications, budgets, and complex narratives • Facilitate interdepartmental and interdisciplinary teams throughout the grant cycle • Collaborate with the System Director and Grant Professional team on system-level and multi-market opportunities • Provide education and technical guidance on grant preparation, submission, and award monitoring • Monitor grant-funded activities, expenditures, invoices, reports, evaluations, and compliance • Ensure grants and contracts meet institutional, local, state, federal, and sponsor requirements • Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Grants and Organizational Giving
• Bachelor’s Degree • 5 years of related experience required • Demonstrated success securing private and public foundation, government, and corporate support • Grant proposal cultivation, solicitation, writing, stewardship, and government grant management experience • Critical thinking and strategic planning experience • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with senior-level executive experience • Ability to identify fundable programs and match them with funding sources • Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills • Knowledge of research tools and techniques for institutional funding opportunities • Knowledge of compliance issues and legal requirements for restricted organizational grant funding • Strong editing skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage, budget, and forecast contributions and related expenses • Organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and ability to meet strict deadlines • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel • Grant Professional Certified (GPC) preferred • Healthcare, successful grant procurement, and philanthropy experience strongly preferred • Experience with Raiser’s Edge, online funder directories, fundraising software, and Workday preferred
