• Grow the VCT-USA wine portfolio across off-premise and on-premise channels in the Greater Houston area, with periodic visits to Oklahoma • Manage wine brands in the distributor network and key accounts • Balance time among off-premise/independent retail accounts, on-premise accounts, and retail-chain programming execution • Drive sales activation and execute initiatives strengthening customer relationships and commercial growth • Manage market-level sales activation and key brand programs • Build relationships with top retail accounts and local chains and identify selling opportunities • Develop distributor-team relationships to multiply efforts and gain share of mind • Coordinate market work-withs, surveys, and sales blitzes with distributor teams • Provide daily/weekly market performance recaps and identify execution gaps • Track program compliance, competitive pricing, and feature execution • Execute confirmed chain/brand programs and assigned Luxury Brand Collection execution • Grow distribution on brand focus programs • Communicate execution progress with the Region Manager and distributor teams • Adhere to assigned territory budgets and submit additional-spend requests • Manage relationships with district managers, sales representatives, division managers, and chain account managers • Attend General Sales Meetings and training sessions when applicable • Be present in the market 85%–90% of the time • Conduct distributor work-withs and key-account development • Provide market health audits to ensure pricing compliance with VCT-USA standards • Report to the Regional Manager
• Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or related field plus a minimum two to five years progressive sales experience in wine and spirits or beverage industry, or equivalent combination education/experience • Proven success in alcohol beverage industry sales and account management • Extensive knowledge of on- and off-premise wine channels and trade • Knowledge and passion for commercial and luxury/premium wines • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong public speaking and presentation skills • Excellent interpersonal skills with the highest level of integrity • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel • Valid Driver’s License and ability to be insured • Ability to complete approximately 10%–15% overnight travel, including weekend and evening work as required • Travel throughout region required • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 30 lbs. frequently • Ability to frequently sit and work at a desk for long periods • Ability to frequently walk and occasionally stand, reach, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend • Hand and finger dexterity for keyboarding and frequent computer work • Additional physical requirements related to domestic/international air and ground travel • Successful completion of criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen • Verification of citizenship or legal right to work in the United States at offer stage
