📋 Description

• Align product engineering with product, IP, and licensing strategies • Serve as principal technical architect for proprietary consumer audio and hearables technology • Package patented algorithms, hardware/software architectures, and software stacks into modular Reference Designs or IP blocks • Define technical boundaries for licensing portfolios, including IP blocks, SDKs, and reference hardware • Oversee optimization and integration of audio code libraries across wireless audio SoC and DSP platforms • Oversee comprehensive Technical Data Packages, including reference designs, tuning tools, SDKs, APIs, reference models, acoustic guidelines, DSP libraries, and documentation • Lead development of developer-facing software tools and GUI-based tuning utilities • Provide technical support, reference tuning, and architectural reviews for licensees and ODMs • Partner with Legal and IP teams on patentable innovations and licensee compliance validation • Mentor audio, DSP, firmware, and hardware engineers toward scalable licensing platforms

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years in consumer audio, acoustics, or hearables product development • At least 4 years managing software IP delivery, technical transfers, or external licensing integrations • Deep expertise in real-time audio processing software • Fixed-point math optimization • Assembly-level vectorization, including NEON or Tensilica instruction extensions • Low-latency scheduling • Expertise in ANC/biquad design, Spatial Audio/HRTF, AEC, Wind Noise Reduction, and ML-based Voice Pickup • Understanding of Bluetooth LE Audio/Auracast, microphone arrays/beamforming, and codecs including LC3, LDAC, and aptX • Fluency in C/C++, Python, RTOS, Bluetooth LE Audio pipelines, Auracast, and codecs including LC3, AAC, and LDAC • Understanding of microphone array geometries, transducer frequency responses, and ADC/DAC latency paths • Ability to present complex technical concepts to business stakeholders, IP attorneys, and external executive teams • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Acoustical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
