📋 Description

• Serve as the finance lead for assigned Hematology and Immunology programs and primary R&D Finance partner to program and cross-functional teams • Support selected early-stage Hematology and I&I molecules through financial planning, analysis, scenario modeling, and development-plan decision support • Lead quarterly forecasting and annual operating planning using cost-driver-based forecasts • Challenge business assumptions and communicate risks and opportunities • Support monthly close by reviewing actuals, analyzing budget-to-actual results, resolving issues, and explaining material variances • Lead R&D accrual activities, including ownership of the comparator drug accrual process • Partner with Clinical Business Operations on investigator fee forecasting, accruals, vendor data and fee review, and study-level drawdown reconciliation • Support DRC, CFRC, and BPRC governance with financial materials, scenarios, trade-off analyses, and recommendations • Partner with molecule and program teams on valuation, prioritization, scenario analysis, development-plan strategy, and resource optimization • Develop program, molecule, and trial reporting packages and dashboards • Lead continuous improvement across forecasting, accruals, monthly close, reporting, and governance processes • Collaborate with Global Clinical Operations, Clinical Business Operations, Accounting, Procurement, and other stakeholders to improve data quality, controls, documentation, and audit readiness

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including clinical operations, R&D program management, business operations, or financial planning and analysis • Experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A, particularly R&D accruals and forecasting preferred • Strong understanding of clinical development operations and key cost drivers, including study start-up, site and vendor management, enrollment, and clinical and comparator drug supply • Experience managing study or program budgets, forecasts, or vendor contracts • Strong analytical, planning, and reporting skills, with experience working with financial data and the ability to quickly learn accrual, close, and accounting processes • Strong business and financial acumen • Ability to analyze complex financial and operational information and translate findings into clear recommendations • Strong communication skills with finance and non-finance stakeholders • Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders without direct authority • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work through ambiguity, and adapt to changing program and portfolio needs • Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy, controls, and documentation • Proactive, collaborative approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field • Strong computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Experience using financial systems, including ERP and budgeting tools (e.g., TM1, Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive, etc.) preferred • Experience using data processing and project management tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, Smartsheet, etc.) preferred • Minimal travel required
