📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Selenium or Appian-native test automation capabilities • Develop and maintain automated regression test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines • Create test strategies, test plans, and quality metrics frameworks aligned to contract requirements and acceptance criteria • Perform functional, integration, performance, and security testing • Collaborate with Appian developers and business analysts within delivery pods to implement shift-left testing practices and define testable acceptance criteria • Build and maintain test data management strategies, including synthetic data generation and test environment configuration • Monitor quality metrics including defect density, test coverage, and automation rates • Provide quality reporting to program leadership • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution • Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with technical teams • Support User Acceptance Testing by developing test scenarios, coordinating with end users, and validating test results • Mentor junior engineers and promote quality engineering best practices across delivery teams • Support a Federal enterprise acquisition system modernization for the Department of Veterans Affairs and its 26,000+ users

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field, or at least 3 additional years of relevant IT experience • 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or test automation • At least 2 years supporting Agile development teams • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG • Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, and performance testing methodologies • Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Ability to work collaboratively across delivery pods • Desired: Experience with Appian platform or low-code/no-code solution testing • Desired: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices • Desired: API testing experience using Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured • Desired: Performance testing experience • Desired: Experience supporting Federal government system modernization programs • Desired: Understanding of Federal acquisition or financial management systems • Desired: SQL proficiency for database testing and data validation • Desired: Familiarity with security testing principles and Section 508 accessibility testing • Desired: Scripting experience using Python, JavaScript, or similar • Desired: Quality assurance certifications
