📋 Description

• Support onboarding of new students and families through engagement sessions, email outreach, welcome contacts, orientations, and Q&A sessions • Answer questions and troubleshoot barriers for learning coaches and students • Coordinate student support with the Compass Team, teachers, staff, and administrators • Monitor assigned student caseloads, identify needs, provide targeted support, and connect students and families with resources • Hold student conferences and support sessions to monitor progress, promote engagement, address barriers, and support academic success • Develop email and newsletter resources for students and families • Provide social-emotional learning resources • Host weekly Continuing Care sessions for peer engagement, support, and Q&A • Create and maintain student resources • Document support and communication with students and families • Use engagement, attendance, academic, and participation data to guide and adjust interventions • Attend meetings, conferences, and trainings • Support assessment coordination and administration, including make-up testing • Participate in school activities and initiatives supporting engagement, family connection, academic success, and program goals • Perform other related program duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in the state of California • Prior experience working with at-risk youth • Strong organizational and time management skills • Detail oriented • Ability to balance and complete multiple projects accurately and on time • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Suite • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults • Self-directed and comfortable working as part of a team • Ability to travel to assigned events • Bachelor's degree desired or relevant work experience • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite • Experience using a student information system and/or database software • Experience moderating web meetings for small and large groups • Flexible schedule required • Ability to travel within and between assigned geographic areas for student support, meetings, state exams, school activities, and orientations • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
