📋 Description

• Develop Android client code solutions aligned with product strategy and engineering best practices • Partner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high-performing customer experiences • Participate in agile ceremonies and help ensure team commitments are delivered on time and with high quality • Advocate for the mobile platform through internal and external developer communities • Remain current on mobile development technologies, including Kotlin, Swift, and third-party libraries • Contribute to group discussions and incorporate broader team feedback • Mentor junior- to mid-level team members • Collaborate with developers across Android, iOS, APIs, Web, and other disciplines • Lead delivery of major components and platform needs with senior engineers and Architects • Share best practices and improve processes across sprint teams • Identify technical obstacles and develop creative solutions • Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Kotlin and other language idioms • Provide subject-matter-expert-level leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply • At least 3 years of experience building Android applications • At least 3 years of experience with Kotlin • Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization or provide immigration-related support • Preferred: Master’s Degree • Preferred: 5+ years of experience building Android applications • Preferred: 4+ years of experience with Kotlin • Preferred: 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Agile practices • Preferred: Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion
