📋 Description

• Manage inbound calls and make outbound calls related to setting up orders • Work with medical providers, patients, and pharmacy staff to ensure timely medication delivery • Input patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system • Assist the Pharmacist in filling prescription orders as permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy • Take verbal prescription orders from licensed prescribers and transfer prescriptions between dispensing pharmacies as permitted by applicable state laws • Review patient insurance coverage status and adjudicate claims for patient orders • Enter prescriptions in the pharmacy system • Maintain knowledge of and abide by applicable pharmacy laws and regulations • Communicate professionally with patients, clinics, caregivers, physicians, and other customers • Apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks and resolve routine problems • Refer complex or unusual problems to a supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred • 1-2 years of experience in mail order or retail pharmacy setting, preferred • Registered in the state of Ohio or Certified Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy, preferred • Active state or national certification in good standing • Insurance billing experience, preferred • Dedicated, quiet, private, distraction free remote work environment • High-speed broadband internet connection meeting specified requirements: 15Mbps download, 5Mbps upload, maximum 30ms ping rate, hardwired to the router, and surge protector with Network Line Protection • Ability to maintain applicable licenses, training and certifications • Ability to work within standard operating procedures and adhere to quality guidelines
