📋 Description

• Execute clinical trial agreements according to institutional guidelines and legal requirements • Negotiate trial budgets to cover institutional administrative and clinical costs • Use Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) to streamline workflows, improve data visibility, and support trial execution • Build accurate trial protocols in CTMS reflecting associated costs and ensuring billing compliance and financial integrity • Create Medicare Coverage Analyses (MCAs) to determine appropriate billing for clinical trial services • Interpret Medicare guidelines and regulations and maintain current knowledge of Medicare policies • Provide guidance to support accurate billing and compliance with Medicare requirements • Provide functional leadership, mentoring, and training to Office of Sponsored Research staff • Help manage analysts, including performance reviews and professional development • Contribute to policy and procedure development and improve procedures and business forms • Identify and lead strategic process improvements within the Office of Sponsored Research • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, finance, or related field, or 6 years of experience within a health care or clinical setting in lieu of a bachelor’s degree • 4 years of experience within a health care or clinical setting • Proven experience in a research-related role such as Research Clinical Coordinator, Regulatory Specialist, Clinical Research Associate, MCA Analyst, or clinical research contracting, budgeting, and negotiations • Hands-on experience using a Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) for data management, tracking, and reporting • Ability to interpret and apply complex information from clinical trial protocols for compliance and accurate data collection • Knowledge of federal regulations regarding protection of human subjects in clinical research • Strong computer skills, including internet browsers and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams • Familiarity with medical terminology • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively • Commitment to accuracy and thoroughness • Clear verbal and written communication with clinical staff, researchers, and management • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues related to research protocols and data management • Compliance with HIPAA, data security guidelines, Code of Business Conduct, applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and training requirements
