• Identify potential business development opportunities through disease-landscape monitoring, internal and external engagement, conferences, and partnering events • Develop best practices and maintain a real-time database of BD opportunities, company and asset information, project status, timelines, next steps, and related documents • Prepare standardized overviews of new BD opportunities to support comparison and prioritization • Triage incoming opportunities and provide timely, informed feedback • Lead preliminary evaluations by coordinating reviews with internal subject matter experts and third parties • Assess strategic fit, synergies, scientific rationale, clinical and regulatory success probability, and commercial opportunity • Provide routine opportunity overviews and status updates to leadership • Present findings and recommendations for completed evaluations • Coordinate diligence efforts and integrate scientific, clinical, medical, and regulatory findings into assessments • Lead scientific competitive-intelligence efforts across selected indications, emerging technologies, and market dynamics • Communicate competitive-intelligence news and insights to leadership • Develop Excel-based patient adoption models using epidemiology, target population, unmet need, competitive threats, and reimbursement assumptions • Work with the M&A team to transition opportunities into formal due diligence, lead scientific assessments, and contribute to business cases and valuations • Build relationships with pharma and biotech companies, academia, venture investors, incubators, and innovation ecosystems globally • Strengthen Angelini Pharma’s reputation as a preferred strategic partner
• Advanced scientific degree required • Doctorate degree preferred • 5–7 years of experience in pharma/biotech or life science strategy/consulting • Rare disease experience preferred • At least 3 years of experience conducting due diligence assessments of pharma/biotech companies and assets in support of licensing, acquisition, and partnership opportunities • Proficiency with competitive intelligence databases including AlphaSense, Biomedtracker, Evaluate, Global Data, Pharmaprojects, and IPD Analytics • Strong understanding of the drug development process from pre-clinical through approval across R&D, regulatory, medical affairs, manufacturing, quality, commercial, and advocacy functions • Advanced Excel skills, including developing patient adoption models and revenue forecasts • Expertise developing concise, executive-level presentations and strategic messaging using PowerPoint • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and technologies to enhance search, evaluation, and analytical capabilities preferred • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong independent research and analytical skills • Ability to triangulate large amounts of information into concise messaging • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, internal and external • Ability to consistently deliver high-quality work while managing multiple projects with minimal supervision • Employment contingent upon successful completion of required screening and verification processes, including authority to work in the United States
