📋 Description

• Build event-driven systems connecting AI agents to CCC’s claims platform. • Own backend services in Python and TypeScript from ambiguous problem definition through production operation. • Build and operate durable, event-driven, multi-tenant systems with deterministic workflows, designed failure modes, replay semantics, and cost profiles. • Own tracing and audit for model calls and agent steps so recommendations can be reconstructed and cited to their sources. • Model and manage claims automation data across relational, document, and graph stores while ensuring security and tenant isolation. • Author complex-system design documents, review designs and code, and mentor engineers. • Improve team practices for agentic coding tools, including specifications, instruction files, hooks, permission policies, and generated-code review. • Participate in a shared on-call rotation. • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, customers, and engineering teams to define scope and deliver reliable systems.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including an event-driven system you designed, shipped to customers, and ran in production. • Python and TypeScript at the level of setting a team's conventions, plus a background in a systems language such as Rust, Go, Java, or C#. • Strong computer science and distributed-systems fundamentals: concurrency, consistency, ordering, and system failure behavior. • Experience building event-driven systems on Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, or Service Bus that handle duplicate, late, and failed events without losing or double-processing work. • Data modeling and development across relational, document, and graph databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Neo4j. • Experience architecting and operating systems on Azure or AWS, with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and a durable workflow engine such as Temporal or Durable Task Scheduler. • Daily production use of Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar agentic coding tools, including constraining context and verifying output. • Authored technical design documents for systems spanning more than one team. • Clear writing and discussion for technical and non-technical audiences. • React and TypeScript experience, formal methods or fault-injection testing, performance tuning, familiarity with MCP/A2A protocols and enterprise systems, and insurance, claims, or automotive repair domain exposure are advantages.
