📋 Description

• Assist in financial analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate outcomes • Develop and analyze complex financial and statistical reports related to the quality, cost and effectiveness of healthcare services • Prepare budgets and forecasts and analyze financial results against expectations • Apply mathematics, probability, statistics, finance and business principles to calculate financial outcomes • Assist with developing probability tables based on statistical data and other pertinent information • Analyze and evaluate required premium rates • Assess cash reserves and liabilities to enable payment of future benefits • Assist with determining the equitable basis for distributing money for insurance benefits • Participate in merger and acquisition analysis • Perform additional responsibilities that may vary by actuarial team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • 0–3 years of actuarial experience • Passed one actuarial exam — REQUIRED • Commitment to the actuarial career path • Demonstrated progress toward ASA designation • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future • Preferred: Experience with Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, indexing and data analysis • Preferred: Experience with VBA • Preferred: Experience with SQL, SAS, Python or R programming
