• Perform on-site inspection, validation, testing and verification of electrical and mechanical equipment • Participate in factory witness testing • Observe startup activities • Use technical equipment to perform testing • Perform functional testing of equipment and electrical, mechanical and controls systems • Troubleshoot system components • Assist in developing commissioning plans • Prepare pre-functional checklists and functional performance test scripts • Review shop drawings, submittals, sequences of operations, construction-related design documents, drawings and specifications • Assist in commissioning-focused design reviews • Prepare project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders • Assist with and contribute to final commissioning reports • Manage personal hours using company tools • Complete assigned tasks and deliverables on time and on budget • May lead routine projects of limited scope • Travel to client sites, meetings, conferences and other business activities as needed
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline, or two years’ experience with installation, hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of mechanical, controls and/or electrical infrastructure, plus a minimum of three additional years’ experience in the same areas • Intermediate knowledge of electrical, mechanical and controls system principles • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams • Exceptional organizational and file-management skills • Ability to complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and optimize operational processes • Ability to work successfully in a remote environment with effective communication, organization, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness • Ability to follow company and site safety requirements • Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence • Effective oral and written communication of technical and non-technical information • Ability to communicate directly with clients and sometimes serve as primary client contact • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with moderate supervision • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines • Ability to obtain NFPA 70E and/or OSHA training certifications as required • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Valid driver’s license and ability to rent vehicles • Must be located near a major airport • Ability to travel up to 75% domestically, including any or all 50 U.S. states • Valid REAL ID or acceptable alternative, such as a passport, for business air travel from May 7, 2025 • Must be able to work in critical facilities, varying temperatures and outdoor conditions, ascend/descend stairs and ladders, enter tight or confined spaces, and occasionally move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
