• Support underwriting business strategies and activities at the Manager’s directive • Provide pre-quote transaction support, including validating data in underwriting workbooks and systems • Verify documentation regarding coverage and limits before completing transactions • Communicate with producers to obtain information required to complete transactions • Review and process bind orders before policy issuance • Draft policies, verify policy data, approve drafts within authority, set up electronic document management records, and obtain underwriter approval when needed • Book premiums and confirm proper posting • Issue approved policies and review underlying policies • Report policy data to Workers Compensation bureaus, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and other third-party agencies • Resolve reporting-agency criticisms in a timely manner • Process post-bind transactions including subjectivity and inspection follow-up, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements • Collaborate with internal departments to answer policy questions, resolve issues, and streamline processes • Review and report on monthly Pended Transaction and Un-mailed reports by Profit Center • Maintain cross-training capabilities for other Profit Centers • Perform other assigned duties and special projects
• Strong expertise in surplus lines policy issuance and post-bind operations • High school diploma/GED required • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to take initiative • Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel, email, and internet-based technology • Excellent math and data analysis skills • Ability to interpret and manipulate report data • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and move quickly between projects • Ability to review and interpret complex data • Strong problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues • High accuracy in reviewing documents, entering data, and processing transactions • Ability to ensure information is complete, correct, and compliant with company standards • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to ask clarifying questions and provide updates • Ability to collaborate with underwriters, assistants, and cross-functional teams • Willingness to share information, support teammates, and contribute to a positive work environment • Ability to provide quality and timely service to internal and external customers • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and other internet-based technologies • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment to meet SLAs
