The FAIR Plan includes dwelling coverage for owner- or tenant-occupied dwellings with up to four family units, as well as commercial coverage for business-owned buildings. The organization helps Californians access necessary fire insurance via licensed brokers and is essentially a temporary insurance solution when coverage is unavailable from traditional insurers.

📋 Description

• Investigate, resolve, and respond to internal and external customer calls and emails regarding policy status, payment remittances, return premiums, cancellations, reinstatements, and related inquiries • Research, review, and process unidentified, suspense, and exception premium receipts • Review, analyze, and authorize premium disbursements in a timely manner • Prepare daily bank deposit reconciliations to ensure premium postings are accounted for and credited correctly to bank accounts • Sort, prioritize, process, and record premium receipts in the billing system accurately and timely • Prepare correction entries for payment-misapplication and bank errors • Assist with moderately complex calculations and billing account analysis • Create and track pending unidentified, suspense, and exception items • Maintain documentation and file supporting documents • Perform OFAC clearance and premium collections follow-up and resolution • Perform backup duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma required • 0 to 1 year’s accounting work experience required • Exceptional typing and 10-key-by-touch skills required • Excellent oral and written communication • Intermediate Excel and Word skills • Accounting course preferred • Duck Creek experience preferred
