📋 Description

• Design, build, and ship features and services for Chainguard Containers from design through production and initial customer use • Own scope, sequencing, trade-offs, and delivery decisions • Work with AI coding agents in building, reviewing, and operating software • Investigate problems across services, customer calls, support tickets, and go-to-market data • Maintain system health through observability, on-call, and corrective fixes • Write design notes, pull request descriptions, and status updates • Build hardened container images, registry services, build systems, distribution capabilities, and adoption tooling • Collaborate directly with Product Managers, customers, and a small end-to-end project team

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years building and operating software used by paying customers • High agency and urgency • Judgment on trade-offs • Systems thinking across build pipelines, registries, and customer clusters • Daily use of agentic coding tools and ability to demonstrate their impact • Comfort with ambiguity • Strong fundamentals in a systems language, preferably Go • Experience with API design, databases and caching • Experience with cloud infrastructure on GCP or AWS • Working knowledge of containers, container registries, OCI image format, and Kubernetes • Excellent written English • Experience working on a distributed, remote-first team • No visa sponsorship or relocation provided • Resume must include the term "DiscoTech"
