📋 Description

• Serve as founding member of Cherry's design systems team • Help structure, staff, and lead the design systems team as it grows • Guide the shift to AI-native workflows and influence adoption of new tools and practices • Own the design system end to end, including component library, tokens, and documentation • Own design direction, component architecture, implementation, and code outcomes • Improve the system across teams by identifying structural issues, aligning approaches, and evolving scalable patterns • Influence interaction and visual design decisions across teams • Evolve Cherry's design language • Build a Claude-first AI design system that produces on-system output by default • Help determine Cherry's future design toolset • Collaborate with the front-end engineering partner in the USA on architecture, implementation, and code review • Improve design-engineering communication and execution across initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in product design • Real, proven coding and technical skills, not just familiarity with code • Track record of guiding visual and interaction decisions across teams • Experience improving a design system across teams • Strong point of view on design tooling • Ability to communicate fluently with designers, engineers, and product leaders • Experience leading a small team or function, or readiness to be the first person doing so • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Must answer required application questions and submit a resume
