📋 Description

• Manage and execute audit engagements across a portfolio of Capital Markets activities • Ensure audit work aligns with CIBC’s Internal Audit methodology and regulatory requirements • Lead audit teams and larger, complex audit engagements and projects • Review workpapers, analyze findings, and develop actionable recommendations • Manage audit staffing, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and completion of the audit plan • Provide guidance, feedback, coaching, and learning opportunities to audit team personnel • Build relationships with senior management and key stakeholders • Identify risks and controls, design audit programs, and draft high-quality audit reports • Proactively manage projects and resources and deliver comprehensive coverage of relevant risks and business processes • Contribute to continuous improvement, share information, resolve conflicts, and support other project teams • Collaborate with internal and external parties in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) • 7+ years of relevant audit experience • Experience with Capital Markets activities and products • Exposure to FINRA, CFTC, and Security-Based Swap Dealer (SBSD) regulations • Project management skills and ability to handle shifting priorities and complex, ambiguous situations independently • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills • Experience collaborating with internal and external parties • Prior managerial experience • Strong work ethic, integrity, and professionalism • Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s) • This position is not eligible for employment sponsorship
