CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange is a nonprofit organization (founded in 1947) that organizes and facilitates international educational and cultural exchange programs. It provides study abroad programs for college and high school students, gap-year and internship placements, TEFL certification and teaching abroad, professional and research exchange, Work & Travel and BridgeUSA programs, and host-family and employer partnerships. CIEE also administers scholarships and safety/onsite support services to help participants travel and study internationally while advancing intercultural understanding and global citizenship.

📋 Description

• Serve as an admissions expert and advise students on CIEE programs based on academic interests, goals, and eligibility • Provide hands-on, individualized guidance as students begin, complete, and submit applications • Manage high-volume email and phone communications and respond within one working day • Schedule follow-ups with prospective students and execute strategies throughout the inquiry and application process • Organize and host information sessions, webinars, events, and presentations • Support recruitment, training, and supervision of CIEE Student Ambassadors on campus • Guide Student Ambassador outreach strategies with the Manager of Institutional Relations • Work with the Manager of Institutional Relations to align with partner institution goals and provide ground-level insights • Achieve personal and team targets for completed applications and application conversion • Document call information and enter data into Salesforce CRM • Participate in regular training on CIEE programs, policies, and tools • Collaborate with Managers of Institutional Relations, Admissions Advisors, and Student Ambassadors

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent • 1–2 years' experience in sales and/or a customer-service-oriented field required • Experience in student advising, customer service, higher education, or a sales role • Study abroad experience strongly preferred • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups and working one-on-one • Strong attention to detail and exemplary problem-solving skills • Professional written and oral communication skills • Service-oriented mindset, high aptitude for organization, excellent time management, and ability to multitask • Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a team • Initiative, openness to feedback, and ability to take direction when needed • Fluency in day-to-day computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite • Willingness to use technology to improve performance • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment • Ability to embrace CIEE's Core Values: Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, and Problem Solving • Valid US driver's license • Background check, reference check, and education and employment verification as conditions of employment
