• Work with top private and public high schools across the US to design and deliver customized study abroad experiences • Collaborate with US sales team members and staff around the world • Turn program ideas into written plans, close contracts, and ensure smooth pre-departure experiences and exceptional program delivery • Develop and implement proactive strategies for growing Custom business in assigned US regions • Achieve revenue-generation and participant-travel goals • Cultivate relationships with school leadership, teachers, counselors, and nonprofits • Expand existing partnerships and help new partners integrate study abroad into their school culture • Act as a thought partner to schools developing global education programs • Use K-12 education and experiential learning design knowledge to support academic alignment • Develop program proposals with CIEE staff around the world • Finalize itineraries, syllabi, outcomes, and program agreements • Close school-trip sales in cooperation with sales managers • Support student recruitment, flight booking, and departure preparation • Coordinate with finance on invoicing and payments • Guide chaperones and families through pre-departure paperwork and learning • Debrief programs with schools and chaperones after return • Analyze feedback survey data and follow up on actionable items • Support marketing, communications, networking, training, and other strategic initiatives • Maintain accurate sales and program records in Salesforce and Microsoft Teams
• Minimum of 4 years of teaching, project/account management, sales, or other relevant experience • Proven track record of building strong client relationships • Experience in international education or related K-12 industries • Experience working in or with secondary schools preferred • Experience living, studying, or working abroad or in an intercultural space • Experience designing or leading student travel programs preferred • Foundation in experiential education and place-based learning • Ability to translate academic goals into program design • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Understanding of budgets and price strategy • Proficient with Microsoft products, Salesforce, and other CRM tools • Willingness to travel for several domestic trips and one international trip per year • Passion for education and belief in the power of global citizenship • Ability to embrace CIEE's Core Values: Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, and Problem Solving • Background check, reference check, and education and employment verification required as conditions of employment
