📋 Description

• Maximize store sales through customer service, product availability, merchandising, and store image • Recap promotional activity and report business opportunities, results, trends, and competitive information to store management • Manage controllable costs, including merchandise variation, salaries, overtime, cash, and repair and maintenance • Collaborate with marketing on promotions and new product introductions; provide feedback on stock issues • Partner with vendors to ensure product availability and professional performance • Manage cash, merchandise variation, salaries, and controllable expenses to ensure profitable store operations • Enforce company policies, procedures, government regulations, and restricted sales policies • Maintain a safe and secure work environment and provide safety communication and training • Forecast financial requirements, prepare annual budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions • Lead and direct store managers, including recruiting, selection, orientation, development, training, performance monitoring, coaching, counseling, and corrective actions • Adhere to legal, ethical, and moral company operating practices • Maintain professional and technical knowledge • Accomplish financial and key result area targets according to company guidelines • Travel by car approximately 50% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred; other combinations of job-related experience and education may be substituted • Three to five years of retail business experience or more preferred • Minimum of two years of management responsibility • Demonstrated leadership ability, good communication skills, self-direction, self-motivation, and customer-service orientation • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English • Ability to supervise and train Store Managers in use of store equipment, tools, and materials • Ability to supervise and manage functions listed in the Store Manager job description • Expertise with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word preferred • Current valid driver's license required to operate a company vehicle • Valid driver's license required • Ability to sit, talk, and/or hear; handle or grasp items of varying weight; stand, walk, and reach • Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level, up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead, and up to 40 pounds from ground to waist • Ability to push and pull with arms using up to 20 pounds of force • Ability to climb a ladder • Ability to work in moderate store conditions and occasionally in extreme temperatures in coolers/freezers • Ability to travel by car 50% of the time
