📋 Description

• Maximize store sales through customer service, product availability, merchandising, and exceptional store image • Provide store management with promotional recaps, business opportunities, results, trends, and competitive information • Manage controllable costs, including merchandise variation, salaries, overtime, cash, repair, and maintenance • Collaborate with marketing to implement promotions and new product introductions • Provide feedback to category managers regarding stock issues • Partner with vendors to ensure product availability and timely execution of monthly promotions • Ensure vendor performance and behavior are professional • Manage cash, merchandise variation, salaries, and other controllable expenses to ensure profitable store operations • Enforce company policies, procedures, government regulations, and restricted sales policies • Maintain a safe and secure working environment and provide safety communication and training • Forecast requirements, prepare annual budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions • Lead and direct Store Managers • Assist with recruiting, selection, orientation, employee development, and training • Plan, monitor, and appraise job results; establish expectations and coach action plans • Administer counseling notices and initiate corrective actions • Apply non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, counseling, motivating, and separating employees • Adhere to legal, ethical, and moral company practices • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies • Achieve financial and key result area targets according to company guidelines • Travel by car as required, potentially 50% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; other combinations of job-related experience and education may be substituted • Three to five years of retail business experience or more preferred • Minimum of two years of management responsibility • Demonstrated leadership ability • Good communication skills • Self-directed and self-motivated • Customer service oriented • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English • Ability to supervise and train Store Managers in use of store equipment, tools and materials • Ability to supervise and manage functions listed in the Store Manager job description • Expertise with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred • Current valid driver's license required to operate a company vehicle • Valid driver's license required • Ability to sit, talk and/or hear; use hands to handle or grasp items; stand, walk, and reach with both hands and arms • Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level, up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead, and up to 40 pounds from ground to waist • Ability to push and pull with arms using up to 20 pounds of force • Ability to climb a ladder • Ability to work in occasional extreme temperatures in walk-in coolers/freezers • Position may require 50% travel by car
