📋 Description

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements • Deliver each financial close on schedule • Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast updates in partnership with department leaders • Build and maintain financial models for pricing, project profitability, and scenario planning • Assist with month-end close activities, including board reports, bank reports, and KPI maintenance • Ensure compliance with internal controls • Support development, documentation, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures • Support ad hoc leadership analysis, including investment cases and operational deep dives • Maintain and improve reporting dashboards and templates • Oversee client communications, including regular meetings, presentations, questions, follow-on projects, and client satisfaction • Manage projects by delegating tasks, tracking time and budgets, communicating issues, supervising colleagues, and delivering high-quality outputs • Communicate actionable information to clients and stakeholders through reports, presentations, and workshops • Manage QAQC processes during project execution • Develop subject matter expertise across climate solutions, including climate risk, adaptation, decarbonization strategy, and environmental attribute markets • Teach staff about subject matter and consulting basics • Help colleagues optimize project processes and find efficiencies • Support additional project types such as life cycle assessments, supply chain engagement, feasibility studies, sustainability reporting, and renewable energy strategy • Assist in and lead proposal development, including prospective-client discussions, task and timeline scoping, budget estimation, and sales-process support • Build a culture of collaboration, intellectual curiosity, accountability, and empathy

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a related field (Finance, Accounting, Economics etc.) • 3 - 5 years of professional work experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a comparable analytical role • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) • Comfortable building and auditing financial or emissions models in Excel • Strong knowledge of financial statements and core accounting concepts • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and balancing shifting priorities • Ability to delegate effectively and contribute expertise to ensure deliverable quality • Excellent communication skills • Effective at teaching others • Comfortable asking questions when necessary • Strong public speaking and facilitation skills • Analytical thinker and fast learner • Comfortable with qualitative and quantitative problems, spreadsheets, approximations, and engineering assumptions • Passion for helping businesses address global challenges, including climate change • Empathetic team player excited to contribute to an inclusive company culture • Interest in contributing to a fast-growing global sustainability company • Progress toward the CFA or a related certification (desired) • Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system (desired) • Exposure to professional services, consulting, or commodities environments (desired) • Familiarity with BI or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau (desired) • Interest in sustainability, carbon markets, or environmental commodities (desired) • Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
