📋 Description

• Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales, including customer satisfaction, upselling, and subscription renewals • Support customers’ technical needs and discover new use cases for Cloudera technology • Design customer solutions using Cloudera technologies, reference architectures, and common patterns • Demonstrate Cloudera products to secure customer commitment • Partner with Account Managers to communicate solution value and operational outcomes and drive sales • Present product roadmap and vision • Interface with Cloudera teams to ensure consistent customer communication • Advocate for customer needs to Product Management and Engineering • Participate in conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs, and other external evangelism • Align achievements with team goals, annual sales targets, and knowledge exchange with peers and the wider community • Empower federal civilian agencies to transform complex data into actionable insights and support mission needs

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a pre-sales context • Ability to create and give technical presentations and demonstrations • Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing or Relational Databases • Experience with Data Engineering, Data Science or Machine Learning • Experience with Operations, Security and Data Governance within the enterprise • Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP • Experience with private cloud infrastructure and platforms, including distributed container platforms such as Kubernetes • Experience with SQL, Python, R, Spark, Airflow, NiFi, Kafka, and Flink • Unix or Linux experience • Experience gathering and understanding customer requirements • Understanding of federal civilian agencies and their specific data and analytic requirements • Understanding of US Federal Public Sector regulations and authorization frameworks/processes/publications such as FISMA, RMF, NIST SP 800-53, FIPS 140, FedRAMP, and STIG • Clearance preferred (DOE Q clearance) • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences • Confidence in presenting to large audiences and leveraging storytelling techniques • Excellent problem-solving abilities • This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship
