📋 Description

• Define complex security architectures needed to integrate new entities after mergers or acquisitions • Lead technology resources through security architecture decision-making • Communicate complex technical and security concepts in clear, business-focused language to technical teams and senior/executive leadership • Analyze regulatory changes and update security architecture, standards, and policies • Provide guidance and coaching to cybersecurity leads, senior architects, and engineers • Research and track secure system standards, industry trends, technologies, threats, tactics, and procedures • Develop formal management reporting dashboards and security risk metrics • Communicate risk and mitigation activities during incident or risk treatment actions • Identify, quantify, and document security requirements for IT and enterprise projects • Update existing security policies and procedures or develop new ones for business expansion • Perform third-party security risk assessments, especially for cloud service providers • Respond to third-party information requests about CNO’s information security program and policies • Ensure technologies support SOX, PCI, and HIPAA/HITECH compliance • Serve as a subject matter expert for incident leads during Incident Response activities • Lead matrix working groups during Incident Response activities • Support Legal and Internal Audit activities and information gathering • Assess, advise, and support AI security initiatives using governance frameworks, security posture evaluations, adoption-risk analysis, and threat mitigation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience • 12 years of progressive IT experience • 5+ years of experience as a security architect or in a related role • Enterprise-level expertise across identity and access management, privileged access management, security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, infrastructure and application security, and business/technology resiliency • Experience implementing and ensuring compliance with DoD STIG, Critical Infrastructure Protection, FedRAMP, or other security requirement frameworks or guides • Ability to apply business and technical knowledge to technology and security challenges, including security incident response • Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred • Strong verbal and written communication skills • CISSP or other relevant security certifications such as CCSP, CISM, or SSCP preferred • Experience with operating systems, networking, storage, identity providers, data center infrastructure, cloud service provider architecture, and mainstream platforms including Microsoft, Oracle, and IBM • Must perform all work within the United States • No visa sponsorship available
