📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end design, development, and reliability of high-performance backend services using Golang and gRPC • Design and deliver social, asset discovery, and real-time notification experiences for Coinbase Advanced trading products • Scale trading products for customers around the globe • Lead rapid experimentation and optimization of conversion funnels for key trading journeys • Make system design trade-offs across performance, scalability, and maintainability to accelerate time to market • Champion engineering best practices in design, coding, testing, documentation, monitoring, and alerting • Partner with engineers, product managers, and designers across multiple time zones • Translate product vision into quarterly roadmaps and high-impact outcomes • Take complex projects from concept to production with minimal oversight

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience • Significant experience with Golang and gRPC • Experience designing scalable service architectures and making system design trade-offs across performance, reliability, and maintainability in high-throughput environments • Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog, or similar cloud infrastructure tools • Working knowledge of event-driven architectures such as Kafka or MQ • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases • Experience with third-party API integrations • Experience with GraphQL and ETL pipelines • Ability to take ambiguous, multi-quarter projects from concept to production with minimal guidance and sound technical judgment • Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight • Qualified applicants must meet Coinbase's employment eligibility requirements for US applicants
