📋 Description

• Develop a trusted, effective working relationship with the partner oncology practice team • Work within a partner oncology group to support patients, clinicians, and practice staff with the identification and intake of patients needing behavioral health support • Support the mental health of patients with cancer on an assigned patient caseload • Provide brief behavioral interventions tailored for the cancer setting • Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders • Facilitate patient engagement and follow-up care • Provide patient education about common mental health and substance abuse disorders and the available treatment options • Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications • Support psychotropic medication management as prescribed by medical providers, focusing on treatment adherence monitoring, side effects, and effectiveness of treatment

🎯 Requirements

• 1–4 years of relevant experience in a behavioral health, healthcare, or oncology setting (preferred) • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required • You are working toward, license-eligible, or currently holding one of the following or similar: Licensed Social Worker (MSW, LSW, LMSW), Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn, grow professionally, and gain experience learning behavioral health therapeutic interventions • Relevant internship or work experience in a healthcare setting, behavioral health setting, and/or oncology setting • Dedicated to providing evidenced-based care and have a demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team setting • Have a passion for delivering quality behavioral health care
