📋 Description

• Preserve and improve the quality and validity of AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism exams, curriculum, and professional development content • Lead assessment development and scoring activities for AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism • Author, revise, review, and manage formative and summative assessment content and scoring materials • Leverage generative AI to author and review assessment content and improve assessment processes • Develop assessment forms aligned with approved curricula and test specifications • Lead Test Development Committee meetings and resolve post-meeting content edits • Train and supervise Test Development Committee members and recruit educator contributors • Lead annual AP Reading scoring events and produce publications for teachers and students • Monitor exam validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and reader reliability • Collaborate with psychometrics staff to establish fair, reliable, and valid cut scores • Refine the AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism Course Framework • Support development and market testing of new AP products • Engage with educators to drive teacher satisfaction with the course and exam • Support AP consultants and teachers with the Professional Learning team • Collaborate with Higher Education teams to increase college and university awareness • Recruit college faculty for AP Reading and support AP Faculty Colloquia and fellowship programs • Present, speak, and moderate discussions with academic and membership audiences as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physics or a directly related discipline (required) • Knowledge of current trends in Physics or a directly related discipline • Doctorate in the discipline strongly preferred • At least 5 years of experience in standardized assessment development or related work • Experience with digital assessment and teaching preferred • Strong oral and written communication skills • Solid technical proficiency • Customer-focused mindset • Excellent organizational and planning skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain close attention to detail, including proofreading • Ability to implement processes and procedures • Ability to manage project plans and schedules and maintain tracking documentation • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively across all levels and engage in constructive feedback • Ability to travel 6–8 times per year, plus up to two additional weeks for the AP Reading • Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States • Willingness to experiment with and adopt AI-driven solutions • Comfort learning and applying new digital tools independently and proactively • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills • Learner’s mindset and commitment to growth • Ability to make data-informed decisions and solve complex problems • Collaborative and empathetic approach
