📋 Description

• Manage and mature Compassion’s AWS platform alongside other AWS staff • Mentor internal customers to pursue increasing value from AWS using strong DevOps practices • Mature DevOps disciplines and champion the lean agile mindset for major initiatives, including Test Driven Development, flow, and systems thinking • Improve integration of complex infrastructure builds with application deployment processes across major projects and systems • Troubleshoot complicated technical problems relating to information systems and provide insight and guidance to other specialists • Analyze, design, and evaluate large automation scripts and systems • Research efficient, effective, and highly scalable technologies • Coach and provide expertise, and potentially oversee other professionals and support staff in the business analysis discipline • Advocate for children’s needs and uphold child protection responsibilities across ministry activities

🎯 Requirements

• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ • Courteous, Christ-like attitude and faithful support of Compassion’s ministry in prayer • Commitment to child protection considerations and compliance with Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct • Extensive experience operating and optimizing AWS environments at scale • Deep understanding of AWS Cloud Operations life cycle management, including security, governance, compliance, and disaster recovery models • Hands-on experience implementing and operating AWS Landing Zone Accelerator (LZA), including governance, multi-account architecture, security controls, and automation patterns • Experience designing and operating service-to-service communication using AWS Application Networking (AWS Lattice), including secure connectivity, traffic routing, service mesh patterns, cross-account communication, and hybrid networking • Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into AWS platform engineering and maintaining foundational services • Skilled at leveraging AI to enhance operational efficiency, accelerate delivery workflows, and improve platform reliability • Strong automation skills, including Infrastructure as Code, pipelines, and operational scripting • History of migrating complex workloads onto AWS • Ability to design, build, and operate workloads in Kubernetes and AWS serverless architectures • Strong Python development skills for operational tooling, automation scripts, and AWS Lambda functions
