It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Virtually manage instructional programs for ELL students via telephone and Internet using various curriculum tools • Consult regularly with students, Learning Coaches, and teachers to support the success of every ELL student • Coordinate language proficiency screenings and testing mandated in Michigan • Ensure compliance with state timelines for Beginning of the Year, Middle of the Year, and End of the Year tasks • Attend local and state-provided professional development training related to ELL compliance and instruction • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to support student learning • Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons to increase student understanding • Communicate consistently with parents and students to develop and update ELL Program Plans and schedules • Discuss assessments, provide feedback on student work, suggest instructional approaches and strategies, monitor assignment completion, and coach special projects • Conduct ELL-focused conferences in a timely manner • Become proficient with supplemental programs supporting English Language Learners in the virtual setting, including interpreting program data • Develop general knowledge of LCA curriculum as applicable • Design and facilitate staff Professional Learning opportunities in ELL areas • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified and certified to teach the appropriate subject in Michigan (ESL Endorsement) • Michigan Residency required • Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Highly organized and punctual • Student- and family-focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment • Team player track record • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds • Travel to and attendance at in-person events, including State Testing, required throughout the school year; overnight travel may be required • Ability to work occasional evening hours as needed • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for two-step authentication
