📋 Description

• Lead development and submission of grant proposals, reports, and donor materials • Translate CDI’s work and impact into compelling narratives for funders • Collaborate with Finance, Marketing & Communications, and program teams to gather grant content • Maintain high quality standards and efficient grant processes • Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar and manage deadlines • Own fundraising systems and infrastructure, including HubSpot, funder records, workflows, and documentation • Maintain reusable grant content, case studies, pitch decks, templates, and annual reports • Partner with Finance to process contributions, track grant requirements, and maintain documentation • Keep the fundraising pipeline current and translate it into revenue projections • Build and improve fundraising workflows, tools, and systems • Prepare and coordinate follow-through for the Executive Director’s funder relationships • Support the Executive Director in fundraising strategy and priorities • Conduct prospect and landscape research • Depending on experience, manage and steward a portfolio of funder relationships

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in development or fundraising • Experience writing successful grants in the six- and seven-figure range • Experience building systems and processes for fundraising operations, particularly in smaller or growing organizations • Excellent writing and communication skills • Exceptional organization and self-direction, with minimal oversight required • Exceptional attention to detail, quality, and accuracy • Strong judgment and ability to anticipate issues and assess escalation needs • Passion for constructive dialogue and alignment with CDI’s values • For the Director role: 7+ years of progressively responsible development or fundraising experience • For the Director role: 2+ years in management or leadership roles • For the Director role: experience owning funder relationships through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship • For the Director role: experience building and executing fundraising strategies achieving philanthropic revenue goals of $1 million or more • Must be based in the United States • Ability to work flexibly within U.S. time zones
