📋 Description

• Lead supplier coaching programs to enhance quality processes, defect prevention, and performance optimization. • Develop and implement supplier training on quality control methodologies, 8D problem-solving, and root cause analysis. • Provide hands-on coaching on material and component specifications, ensuring adherence to requirements. • Mentor and consult with suppliers on process improvements and compliance initiatives. • Establish corrective and preventive action plans with suppliers. • Conduct supplier audits and follow-up coaching. • Implement supplier development roadmaps and track progress toward zero defects and quality excellence. • Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to identify, approve, and onboard new suppliers. • Support supplier innovation and improvement projects driving cost efficiency and process optimization. • Assist with new product launches and material/component qualifications, ensuring supplier readiness. • Promote continuous improvement and hold suppliers accountable for quality performance.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Discipline, or a related field. • Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred. • 3+ years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality roles. • Strong expertise in training, coaching, and mentoring suppliers. • Ability to analyze supplier data and lead performance improvement strategies. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to influence and educate suppliers. • Minimum 25% up to 50% domestic travel is required. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, quality systems, and supplier management tools. • Strong understanding of window hardware components, including hinges, locks, handles, and sealing systems. • Experience in glass manufacturing, including tempering, coating, insulating, and structural glazing applications. • Familiarity with quality standards for glass thickness, coatings, durability, and optical clarity. • Expertise in thermal performance and energy efficiency in window glass and hardware integration. • Ability to assess and improve supplier quality in window components, ensuring material consistency and defect reduction. • Knowledge of AAMA and NFRC regulations and compliance with residential glass applications.
