📋 Description

• Manage the overall operation of a designated office • Formulate and administer company best practices • Develop long-term goals and objectives • Analyze costs, activities, and operations • Support the goals of the Claims Department and CorVel • Represent the company to internal and external customers and clients • Direct employee performance and development • Ensure compliance with Workers’ Compensation laws and regulatory reporting requirements • Train, coach, and conduct regular performance evaluations • Apply jurisdictional expertise and regulatory rules, statutes, and procedures • Monitor workflow and manage staffing levels and retention strategies • Develop and oversee common claims practices and procedures • Review and settle high-dollar or escalated claims • Improve operational efficiency, quality, and consistency across processes, people, and systems • Ensure compliance with CorVel policies and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent industry-related experience • Minimum of 6 years' comprehensive workers’ compensation administration experience • Minimum of 2 years' recent supervisory or management experience • Current license or certification in Workers’ Compensation must be maintained throughout employment with CorVel • Self-Insured Certificate preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Effective quantitative, analytical, and interpretive skills • Demonstrated leadership and staff motivation abilities • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks under demanding conditions • Ability to remain poised in stressful situations and communicate diplomatically • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with common computer applications • Strong interpersonal, time management, project management, and organizational skills • Knowledge of claims administration, case management, and cost containment for Workers’ Compensation • Ability to travel overnight and attend meetings
