Cosmic Shielding Corporation is a space-hardware company that develops and manufactures Plasteel® radiation-shielding solutions to enable commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) electronics — GPUs, NVMe storage, sensors, FPGAs, and system-on-modules — to operate reliably in high-radiation environments from LEO to deep space. Their product line includes ready-to-integrate VPX enclosures, NVMe shields, and fully custom designs built on flight-proven Plasteel technology; the company emphasizes reduced single-event effects, longer mission runtimes, and cost savings compared with traditional rad-hard systems. Plasteel has been tested at world-class facilities (HIMAC, TRIUMF) and flown on multiple SpaceX Transporter missions, and the company lists partners and customers such as NASA, CERN, and the International Space Station.
