📋 Description

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for GAAP and regulatory compliance • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities • Perform complex reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across multiple financial systems • Develop and maintain internal controls, processes, and documentation for audits and reporting accuracy • Provide technical accounting guidance and mentor junior team members • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives and forecast accuracy • Identify process improvements and recommend efficiency and control solutions • Participate in internal and external audits, prepare documentation, and address findings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills is required • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards • Financial reporting and compliance expertise • Advanced reconciliation and variance analysis skills • Ability to interpret and apply complex accounting guidelines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience is preferred • Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting within the insurance or financial services industry is advantageous • Familiarity with ERP systems and automated accounting processes is desirable • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress toward CPA is preferred • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent is an advantage but not mandatory • English language fluency is required
