📋 Description

• Lead the GTI engineering team • Run one-on-ones, set growth plans, give direct feedback, handle performance, and make hiring decisions • Work with product to turn the roadmap into releases and remain accountable for agreed delivery dates • Make and document architecture decisions across the frontend, backend services, database, and Azure footprint • Review pull requests, establish testing standards, and contribute code to novel problems • Own the multi-service repository release process, including release tagging, release candidates, changelog gates, and merge-back rules • Own on-call, alert routing, and the observability stack • Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions prevent recurrence • Write code to maintain current technical judgment • Report to the Head of AI and collaborate with product, design, and tax content teams

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building and shipping production software, including leading a team as a manager or technical lead • Hands-on depth in C# and .NET, including API design, async work, and testing • Hands-on depth in modern TypeScript and React; Next.js experience preferred • SQL Server skills including schema design, indexing, reading query plans, and running migrations against live data • Production experience with containerized workloads on Azure • Track record of shipping on a schedule in an Agile work environment • Clear written communication, including design documents, incident reviews, and performance reviews • Infrastructure as code with Bicep and CI/CD with GitHub Actions preferred • Experience with observability tooling such as Application Insights, OpenTelemetry, or PostHog preferred • Experience leading a team through an agent-led development workflow with tools such as Claude Code preferred • Experience shipping LLM-backed features into production preferred • Background in tax, accounting, law, or another rule-governed domain preferred • Experience hiring and onboarding engineers preferred
