📋 Description

• Lead the clinical component of Curative’s Baseline Visit program or the longitudinal Primary Care model • Conduct virtual Baseline clinical check-ins using Curative protocols and sound clinical judgment • Review medical, surgical, family, social, medication, allergy, and preventive-care history; clarify concerns, goals, and barriers • Identify preventive-care needs and clinically significant risks and develop personalized health roadmaps • Recognize needs requiring urgent, primary, specialty, behavioral-health, pharmacy, or care-management support and make safe handoffs • Document encounters, assessments, plans, education, referrals, and follow-up needs accurately and promptly • Provide evidence-based preventive, acute, and chronic primary care through telehealth and arrange in-person evaluation when needed • Evaluate symptoms, establish differential diagnoses, order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies, and communicate results • Prescribe and manage medications, including reconciliation, monitoring, education, and pharmacy coordination • Manage stable chronic conditions, close preventive-care gaps, and establish follow-up plans • Refer patients to emergency, urgent, specialty, behavioral-health, or other services and coordinate transitions • Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice professionals • Provide case consultation, escalation support, feedback, and mentorship to clinicians • Define and maintain clinical workflows, protocols, documentation standards, escalation pathways, and handoffs • Review quality, safety, access, member-experience, and documentation trends and lead corrective improvements • Support clinician onboarding, calibration, and continuing education • Partner with clinical, product, operations, compliance, and health-plan teams while preserving physician independence • Represent Curative PLLC with internal and external stakeholders as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer • Define and reassess clinical scorecards, KPI definitions, data sources, owners, targets, and reporting cadence with the Chief Medical Officer • Monitor access, Baseline Visit completion, documentation quality, referrals, preventive-care gaps, productivity, safety events, and member experience • Produce reports explaining performance, trends, risks, root causes, and corrective actions • Use stratified data to identify unwarranted variation and validate metric logic and data quality • Translate KPI findings into improvement plans and monitor intervention results • Use approved AI and analytics tools for documentation, information synthesis, literature review, workflow analysis, quality monitoring, and performance reports • Validate AI-generated content and recommendations and retain physician accountability • Protect patient information and follow privacy, security, record-retention, and AI-governance requirements • Evaluate AI use cases for clinical value, workflow fit, bias, safety, explainability, and measurable performance • Test tools, define human oversight, monitor post-launch performance, and address errors or unintended consequences • Work full-time with occasional evening or limited weekend work; rare travel may include Austin or optional travel to Curative sites

🎯 Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school • Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine • Valid, unrestricted Texas medical license and willingness to obtain and maintain additional state licenses as requested • Current, unrestricted DEA registration and ability to meet applicable controlled-substance prescribing requirements • Ability to complete credentialing and remain in good standing with Curative Health Plan and other required entities • Experience providing primary care and making safe, independent clinical decisions in virtual and in-person settings • Clear written and verbal communication, reliable follow-through, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership approach • Ability to interpret clinical and operational data, define meaningful KPIs, identify data-quality limitations, and communicate findings to clinical and executive audiences • Ability to use approved AI tools responsibly and to independently verify their outputs before clinical or operational use • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred • At least two years of in-person primary-care experience preferred • Experience delivering telehealth across multiple states or clinical settings preferred • Experience supervising, collaborating with, or mentoring advanced practice professionals preferred • Quality assurance, quality improvement, peer review, or clinical program development experience preferred • Experience building clinical services in a rapidly changing or early-stage environment preferred • Comfort using data and clinician feedback to improve access, consistency, safety, and patient experience preferred • Experience building dashboards or recurring performance reports with spreadsheet, business-intelligence, statistical, or SQL-based tools preferred • Experience evaluating or implementing AI-enabled clinical, documentation, quality, or operational workflows under formal governance preferred
