📋 Description

• Provide consultative support and medical cost-based analysis of markets and network initiatives • Consult with network and clinical management on opportunities to improve discount position and strategic cost and utilization initiatives • Prepare for monthly presentations as part of the Medical Expense Review team • Manage long- and short-term projects collaboratively with local market leaders • Analyze and research utilization and unit-cost medical cost drivers • Turn data into usable information through data visualization • Support development of scoreable action items by identifying outlier cost issues • Perform drill-down analysis to identify medical cost trend drivers • Advise the network on contracting opportunities to mitigate future trends • Own, track, and document related work from project beginning to end

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in analytics or finance or equivalent experience • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required • Experience within the healthcare industry • Experience with managed care functions including provider contracting, benefit design, and medical management • Knowledge of business functions and their impact on financials, including underwriting, sales, product development, and network management • Experience working with medical and pharmacy claims • Experience with Excel, MS-Access, Power BI, and web-based query tools/data warehouse • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects • Ability to work 40 hours per week
