📋 Description

• Function as the Financial Planning and Analysis lead for the New York Medicaid Health Plan • Support the CFO directly in achieving financial and strategic goals • Manage and drive business actions and financial goals across the Plan • Oversee development, analysis, and reporting of financial forecasts, budgets, and key performance metrics • Ensure alignment of financial strategies with state Medicaid requirements and corporate goals • Provide actionable insights to executive leadership and cross-functional teams • Oversee comprehensive financial reports aligned with strategic goals • Identify financial variances and trends and provide insights for strategic decisions • Lead budgeting for the business unit or region • Liaise between senior leadership and cross-functional teams • Lead strategic financial planning and align financial resources with long-term goals • Lead cost optimization initiatives and drive efficiency improvements • Guide executive leadership on financial strategy, resource allocation, and long-term goals • Lead cross-functional teams to align departments and meet business objectives • Drive process improvements, innovation, and best practices in financial operations

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years financial experience including strategic and business planning, financial planning, analysis, P&L, reporting or accounting • 5+ years of experience in healthcare or insurance • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or similar disciplines required or equivalent years of experience • Health Plan Finance preferred • Experience in P&L management and leadership with budgets and forecasts preferred • Experience in development of Budgets and identification of risks and opportunities preferred • P&L ownership and key financial metrics preferred • Medicaid, Medicare or Commercial health insurance products and financial drivers preferred • Advanced degree in Business and/or FSA/CPA preferred • Experience in Financial analysis, trends, projections, and analytics preferred
