📋 Description

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of modern, scalable software solutions for MinuteClinic • Drive the re-platforming of the technology stack and adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices • Set technical direction and mentor engineers • Collaborate with product, design, and architecture partners • Deliver solutions that improve patient care and empower clinical staff • Take initiative and identify opportunities to accelerate development • Champion engineering excellence, quality, performance, and reliability • Adopt new technologies and evaluate emerging tools, including AI-driven development

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or mentoring role • Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, or distributed systems in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP) • Strong understanding of architectural principles, system design, and engineering best practices • Ability to take ownership, drive initiatives from concept to delivery, and remove ambiguity through action • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with modern engineering tools, patterns, and AI-assisted development practices • Hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, C#, or TypeScript • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated test frameworks, and observability solutions • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field OR equivalent relevant experience • Preferred: experience developing healthcare, clinical systems, or regulated enterprise applications • Preferred: knowledge of microservices architecture, event-driven patterns, or domain-driven design • Preferred: familiarity with FHIR or HL7 • Preferred: experience leading engineering discussions, conducting design reviews, and coaching junior engineers • Preferred: ability to identify technical risks, propose solutions, and drive stakeholder alignment • Exposure to React, Angular, or mobile development is a plus • Experience experimenting with or implementing AI-powered developer tooling or automation is preferred
