📋 Description

• Support the Daikin product line, including FIT Side Discharge and RA_QA systems • Oversee installations of Daikin HVAC products to ensure proper setup and successful operation • Perform and review Manual J and D reports to confirm HVAC system design suitability • Provide technical support via phone, XOi, and email to field personnel and contractors • Resolve field issues related to system design, installation challenges, or product performance • Deliver on-site technical assistance • Complete detailed field service reports documenting relevant data and resolutions • Set up and commission control systems, including refrigerant charging, equipment addressing, operational adjustments, and field configuration • Lead training sessions for distributors and dealers on installation practices, system commissioning, control setup, and troubleshooting • Collect and evaluate system performance data using Daikin proprietary diagnostic tools • Provide solution-based feedback to customers • Instruct customers on system operation, care, and control scheduling • Perform direct installation, service, or support of Daikin systems as required • Report to the Manager, Div. Technical Services

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on installation and technical service experience within the HVAC industry • Strong understanding of refrigeration, airflow dynamics, HVAC theory, and system layout • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with a wide range of stakeholders • Proactive, self-directed, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively • Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts, problems, and solutions • Proven technical expertise to explain HVAC product functionality to end users and technicians • Well-developed planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Strong documentation skills and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively • Valid driver’s license (required) • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States • Qualified applicants will not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation • Substantial travel up to 75% and work in environments including attics, rooftops, and crawlspaces • Associate’s degree highly preferred • Industry certifications such as EPA/RSES, NATE, Title 24 expertise, or a California contractor license preferred • 10 years of installation experience preferred
