📋 Description

• Lead the engineering team building Scout • Build and update financial models inside Excel using Daloopa's audit-ready, hyperlinked data • Continue hands-on development and build working prototypes with AI coding tools • Teach the team effective development practices • Lead hiring, development, and retention of strong engineers • Engage deeply in technical design and code reviews • Set and uphold standards for execution, code quality, and operational readiness • Ship and operate client-facing ML/LLM products reliably in production • Own and manage the product roadmap with Product and cross-functional stakeholders • Make tradeoffs between scope, quality, and timelines • Improve engineering practices across teams through incident reviews, standards, tooling, and knowledge sharing • Build strong relationships across Engineering, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Support • Work directly with analysts and clients using the products • Lead Scout in front of financial institutions

• Ask instead of assuming; clarify ambiguity rather than guessing • Think in business value and connect team work to customer or business impact • Protect scope, default to simplicity, and define clear, testable outcomes • Own outcomes end to end and proactively surface risks, issues, and updates • Self-awareness, ability to learn quickly, and comfort handling disagreement • Share knowledge, develop managed employees, and raise team standards • Experience hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers • Experience building healthy teams based on trust, accountability, and continuous improvement • Hands-on technical leadership in backend, full-stack, or AI products • Deep engagement in design and code reviews • Ability to uphold high standards for execution, code quality, and operational readiness in client-facing production systems • Experience shipping client-facing products built on ML/LLMs • Knowledge of production engineering practices including evals, observability, latency, and cost management • Ability to own and manage the roadmap with Product and cross-functional stakeholders • Ability to improve team practices through incident reviews, standards, tooling, or knowledge sharing • Strong working relationships across Engineering, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Support • Comfort working directly with analysts who use shipped products • Preferred: experience with financial data products or pipelines • Preferred: experience building products inside tools such as Excel or Office add-ins • Preferred: exceptional achievement outside work, such as a top ranking in a game or sport, competition win, or side project with real traction
