📋 Description

• Build, automate, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure using Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or Pulumi • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines providing secure and consistent paths from code to production • Develop and enhance a self-service platform for data scientists and engineers to provision compute, data, and ML resources • Embed security, data governance, quality, and compliance by design • Establish the platform’s operational backbone, including observability, monitoring, alerting, and support tiers • Evaluate and integrate new tools and services • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into capabilities • Mentor engineers and drive technical standards, documentation, and continuous learning • Report to the Senior Director, Data and AI Platform

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, including hands-on data and/or AI/ML infrastructure work • CS/Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience • Deep, hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP • Working familiarity with multi-cloud environments and their data and AI services • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Pulumi • Experience with CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps • Experience with containerization/orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes • Proficiency in at least one language: Python, Go, or Bash • Solid security and networking fundamentals for provisioning secure cloud resources • Experience operating production systems, including monitoring, observability, incident response, and reliability practices • Ability to set technical direction at platform scale, drive cross-team architecture and design decisions, establish standards, and mentor engineers • Ability to travel up to 10% • Preferred: experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or biotechnology • Preferred: experience with regulatory standards such as HIPAA or GxP, compliance frameworks such as SOX, and rigorous data governance requirements • Preferred: experience working in a matrixed environment
