📋 Description

• Guide strategic customers through the full lifecycle of Databricks on AWS, from initial architectural design through production deployment • Architect and scale compute and networking infrastructure for AI workloads, enterprise LLM deployments, and high-performance GenAI applications on Databricks • Serve as a subject matter expert in AWS infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, cloud networking, and identity management • Drive technical wins in competitive scenarios through custom-built solutions demonstrating Databricks differentiation • Orchestrate DSAs, SAs, SSAs, and partners to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex customer needs • Influence product direction through structured feedback on customer requirements and competitive gaps • Advise enterprise customers on architecture, cloud infrastructure, and AI deployment patterns for Databricks on AWS • Position Databricks as the foundation of customers' data and AI strategies

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role • Hands-on experience architecting cloud infrastructure for AI/ML execution, including GPUs/TPUs, scalable model serving, vectorized data retrieval, and cloud performance-versus-cost optimization • Advanced expertise in AWS security controls, platform/network/data security, encryption, vulnerability management, compliance, AWS IAM, AWS IAM Identity Center, SCIM, OAuth, SAML, and Federation • Expertise in AWS enterprise networking, including VPC peering, AWS Direct Connect, PrivateLink, network routing, performance optimization, and large-scale deployment management • Expertise in high availability, disaster recovery, cluster orchestration, observability, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, and AWS Cost Management • Hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code automation using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK • Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL, including live coding, debugging, and solution building • Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms • Proficiency on the Databricks Platform or ability to achieve proficiency rapidly, with technical specialization in an area such as real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance, or migrations • Ability to lead architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders, including whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off analysis • Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth within accounts • Excellent communication skills for translating complex architectures into business value • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience • Willingness to travel up to 30% • Databricks certifications, AWS certifications, competitive platform experience, and data/AI company or cloud provider background are nice to have
